Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of StackAudit (the "Service"), operated by Support Stack Systems BBLLC, a Vermont benefit limited liability company ("SSS", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Enable MFA where available. Notify us immediately at
security@supportstacksystems.comof any suspected unauthorized access. - You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
3. The Service
StackAudit helps you audit your software stack, payroll structure, and operational workflows, and presents recommendations. Outputs are informational and are not legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice.
When you choose to connect a third-party service (for example Plaid), additional terms apply — see Section 5.
4. Your content and data
- You retain all rights to the data you submit ("Your Content").
- You grant SSS a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.
- You are responsible for having all rights necessary to submit Your Content and for its accuracy.
- We do not use Your Content to train third-party AI models without your explicit permission.
5. Third-party integrations
- When you connect a third-party service, you authorize SSS and that service to exchange data as described in our Privacy Policy and their terms.
- Plaid. By connecting a financial account via Plaid, you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy (https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy). Plaid acts as a service provider to you and to SSS. We use the data Plaid provides only to detect software subscription charges.
- Third-party services are not operated by SSS. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or probe the Service (including rate-limit evasion, vulnerability scanning without written authorization, or reverse engineering except where permitted by law).
- Upload viruses or malicious code.
- Resell the Service without a written agreement with SSS.
- Use the Service to generate spam or harass any person.
7. Fees and billing
- Paid plans are billed through Stripe. You authorize SSS (through Stripe) to charge the payment method you provide.
- Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for applicable taxes.
- Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or stated in a separate agreement.
8. Intellectual property
- SSS retains all right, title, and interest in the Service, including all software, designs, trademarks, and documentation.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by these Terms.
- Feedback you provide may be used by SSS without restriction or compensation.
9. Termination
- You may terminate at any time by deleting your account from Settings.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk or possible legal exposure for SSS, or for non-payment. For material violations we will try to provide notice where feasible.
- On termination, provisions that by nature should survive will survive, including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SSS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RECOMMENDATIONS WILL PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR OUTCOME.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SSS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA. SSS'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID SSS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify SSS against claims arising from (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or law, or (c) your infringement of a third party's rights.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Vermont, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in Vermont, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section waives any non-waivable consumer right under applicable local law.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. If changes are material we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect, where feasible. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
15. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order form, are the entire agreement between you and SSS. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
